I took up the subject first at AS level and had no previous media knowledge before from secondary school neither outside school. Over the year studying Media at AS level I have learnt many media terminologies to use in my coursework and exams for the use of my work. I have also used Blogger over the year and have learnt how to upload different types of media, create posts, modify blogs etc. Due to working on a 2 minute introduction of a film at AS level I have used Final Cut Express which allowed to identify how to edit video and audio using the program.
Practical work in Media interests me as I enjoy working on projects such as film making which we did last year as well as editing the footage with effects and sounds etc.

This music video was features the Jay-Z who is the artist who raps in the song and the video was directed by Sam Brown. The video has been given a black and white effect which makes some of the images in the video appear to be darker than they naturally which emphasises the dark and evil feel that the images try to portray. The images shown do not have any relation to the lyrics and are totally random yet the video matches the music as of the slow pace editing which corresponds to the music also the downbeat music matches the images shown.
